Appointments are generally 50 minutes long.
Sessions are $140 and can be paid via debit, credit, or e-transfer. There are no taxes on social work services. Currently I can direct bill to Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), Veterans Affairs Canada, Blue Cross, the NBCCD student health plan, and the STU student health plan. Most clients pay out-of-pocket and are then reimbursed by their insurance -- I know that this poses an accessibility obstacle so I am planning to be able to direct bill more providers soon. Thank you for your patience!
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) and Registered Social Worker (RSW). Most insurance companies cover services provided therapists with these qualifications. However, it is best to double-check with your insurance or EAP provider directly.
No. As a social worker in the province of New Brunswick, I do not diagnose or prescribe medication.
